  1. The sound machine discovery is a miracle. 😂😂😂 now I’m sharing this with the world. Coolest thing ever!!!

  2. This is not for me.. I don’t like the entitlement here.. and remember ppl this is my opinion and I’m not "crunchy"

  3. I love you. May you always have great things in life.
    – a 24 weeks pregnant overwhelmed woman who hasn’t bought anything and was having a full blown panic attack

  4. Yes !!! After my first I swore I would never buy more clothes then I need for three days and I would only get them as needed. As you said they can skip a size or wear it for 1 week, all those cute outfits just wasted $$$

  5. I really appreciate this video because it actually is minimalistic. It’s not super influencer-y where we are told that a super expensive and popular product is a necessity or else we are bad moms. It’s very logical.

  6. I am currently pregnant with my first at only 8 weeks pregnant and I have always believed that babies don’t need that much so finding this video gave me so much peace about my worries of having to buy so much stuff.

    Thank you for this

  7. Still trying for #1, thank you for the reinforcement…. I don’t want to lose my mind when I finally see two pink lines

  8. VERY good summary and approach. Thank you!!! I love it when someone is able to boil down something so complex and mage it sound so reassuring. ❤

  9. Thank you. Perfect video. Exactly what I wanted to hear and see. I feel like I need nothing and when I think of things I need it’s only what you’re listing out.

  10. I love that you mentioned 2nd hand items. I have never heard someone talk about this! I am on sites right now that re-sell large baby items. I want to invest in my child and their future, not expensive things for them as an infant aka just for me.

  11. My six mont old son was crawling every wake moment. Sow he went on an aventure😅. With six monts.

  12. Guys! There’s a car seat in the market that like all car seats in the US passed the same safety tests and is like 50 bucks new, the cosco scenera next. not a mom yet but im definitely getting it when i have a baby. AND! you can use a convertible car seat from the start and save yourself some money that you would otherwise spend on an infant carrier they’ll only use for a year. good luck!

  13. Yes!! Thank you!! Someone who thinks like me: "Why do I have to buy this new? Where can I borrow/rent/buy it used/trade?" My baby registry is really just "savings funds" for the big ticket items like a new (safe) car seat, Doula/Midwife fund, etc. And all the rest, I’m such a good thrift shopper that I know I’ll accumulate what I need for cheap or free.

  14. I saw this video which is very informative, But i just add on somethings about this. I just read the Nursery Furniture Checklist blog on Babymore, and it was fantastic! The guide was thorough and easy to follow, making it so much easier to know exactly what I need for my baby’s nursery. It had great tips on selecting quality furniture and creating a safe, comfortable space. Thank you, Babymore, for such an informative and helpful blog. if you wanna get more information about nursery check list you should go and visit babymore.

  15. Wow just love this video already and only 5 minutes in. I’m 31 weeks this week and anxious that I don’t have enough things

  16. Thank you for this guys. Really informed some questions I have been asking. Time to go read Scriptures and compare what you talked about today. Thanks again for your hard work and studies.

Question for Joshua: Can you talk a little slower on scriptures that seem like common knowledge? Hard to follow sometimes. Thanks guys!

  17. I’m a new mom, I use a lot of onesies and sleepers. Most, almost all my baby clothes were secondhand. 😊 He grows out of them so fast there’s no true need to buy new clothes.

  18. Just a word of warning not all breast pumps are able to be fully cleaned. There are “open systems” and “closed systems” which means bacteria can be in a place you can’t reach to clean and then you get mastitis. That’s why you shouldn’t share just any breast pump. Hopefully this helps a momma. Great video and thank you!

  19. the background sound in iphone got me 😮😮😮 my mouth dropped, thank you ao much omg life saved!!!!! 🤯🤯🤯

  20. This was really helpful, thank you! In my first trimester with my first and already thinking about a Minimalist -> Montessori method. I dread the idea of having a mountain of plastic toys and other baby things that I don’t actually need.

  21. Thanks for doing this. There are so many online lists and videos that make you think you need so much stuff.
With our first baby we started off with a crib (hand me down) with mattress, changing mat, reusable nappies, clothes and a wrap carrier. I was fortunate that breastfeeding went really well for me, so didn’t need bottles and formula.
We didn’t use baby wipes but instead cut up an old towel to make reusable cloths.

  22. 8 weeks and trying to prep so I don’t go insane later. Your video gave me so much comfort and hope!!!!

  23. if you have any amazon products dot, show, etc they all work as sound machines too. that is what we use in out room and we got a free sound machine for her nursery,

  24. I love this!!!
The consumerism mentality is so forced that we all feel so much guilt for not buying into it.
How has this become the norm?

  25. Are your kids any more clingy than kids who didn’t co sleep? Isn’t there more risk for them to drown sleeping on the bed?
