If youāve an awkward area where you need a child gate you can get a retractable gate honestly theyāre brilliant definitely worth getting!!!
I had to buy toilet latch. I got tired of my son playing in the water
DUMB BABY DONT KNOW ANY
We need baby friendly apartments
You are gorgeous!

At 8 months. My child ripped off almost everyone of them. A playpen worked better for me however limited mobility isn’t such a great idea
Does anyone have any tips my PS4 is under my tv in a cuppyhole in the tv unit (I think thatās what itās called) but my son is obsessed with it he keeps turning it onn& off but the biggest worry I have is he keeps pulling it out where it falls on the floor almost hitting his feet i and Iām worried by pulling the wires he could knock the tv over I know itās unlikely but I tried covering it with lace he ripped it off but the problem is I canāt put a door on it as itāll cause the ps to over heat Iāve got a sky box coming so I really need to get it sorted asp and Iāve nowhere else I can put it any advice as Iāve tried everything to get him to leave it alone but it hasnāt worked
Talking too much
Just a video of her flexing her house on us lol
Good tips
Thank you so much!!!! This is perfect timing for me. & I too wish I had baby proofed BEFORE things became an obsession. My husband never saw the need because our oldest was abnormally well-behaved for a toddler and he thought it was just good parenting… Now he’s realizing that each child has their own unique personality & temperament. Our baby is very well behaved but he’s also incredibly curious & LOVES the cabinets
Was it an option to have the magnetic locks at the bottom of the cabinet?
My God!!! Susan is one of the most beautiful women ever!!!! Fell in love with her gorgeous face…
Big trick I heard with normal plugs if you look at them the top one doesnāt have extricate go into it but the bottom two most plugs now thereās a whit cover to stop fingers from going in so when you use plug covers you actually make it dangerous where if they turn it upside down it opens the bottom two holes in the plugs so you should check yours before getting them but there is other products you can get you can get plug brackets ect worth getting for very accessible plugs I only got two for the two plugs that are very accessible to my son but the rest I just got plug cover for as he canāt really get to them
You look like Laura dharman wife š
Love how cute that baby gate is, thatās the only one Iāve seen that isnāt an eyesore šš¼šš¼šš¼šš¼

What about when they figure out how to climb on the couch??
We have modern cabinets too.. I ran into the same problem with the magnet locks… the way around the problem is to instal the locks on the bottom of the cabinet instead of the top… or even on the side.
You’re very beautiful. I was admiring your complexion and make up. What nationality are you? And thanks for the video! Lol
My 21 month old started to put plastic comb in the outlet…She figured it out.
Iāve got a massive heavy hall mirror hanging. No one ever addresses that š
Poor parents
Child proofing with class.
I think that retract-a-gate would work really well for your stairs
This looks like it was made on a budget. Trust me kids as they reach 2-4 years old they still get into trouble, so all your electrical outlets instead of the covers just installed child proof outlets, they have a safety mechanism thag prevents them from opening the ports if they don’t sense a push in both holes they don’t open, this helps for little fingers or forks, you know kids,
For cabinets don’t installed stick on ones, after a while the glue in the sticker ends up messing up your cabinets and also they are an eye sore, instead install lock in ones inside the cabinet, they are any types, they are stick ok, drill ones, and even magnets.
Baby gates will always and forever be an eye sore and they are usually expensive, so rather ask yourself if your prefer a build šØ one, so we were getting rid of our babies crip since he out grew it and i used those parts to build a gate by the stair matching the color of the stair handles and adding some style in the hardware, i only spent money on the hardware, it’s latch on hardware and the hintches automatically close the door due to the coils inside them. Making them really nice to look at, my wife absolutely loves them. Motion sensor cameras through the house give you a sense of security, also don’t buy 1080 for the baby room, you can save that for the least occupied room in the house, you can do 4k for the babies room it’s worth the price, baby ankle monitor saves you some sleep and some come with the sock attachment if the get bigger but have medical conditions. You take care of this stuff, and you don’t have to buy this ever again for the next baby.
First baby is always expensive,
I’m at my fourth one, but i have play rooms, living rooms, game room, office room and their bedrooms, i have many room in my home, i planned for a big family and i eventually had one, i have a vasectomy now so that’s it for me š.
I have EVERY problem you spoke about in this video. I also had to buy the ugly cabinet-proofers, but hey, itās better than picking up broken glass of my tops of my pots and pans, or possibly having them cut themselves when they dig in the cabinets. Thank you so much for the wonderful suggestions for the stairs. I will definitely buy a roll of it & the fabric gate, as well. Iām the grandma and Iām sending this video to both of my daughters. (They both have one year olds and we have another on the way!) Looks like we will be child proofing for the next few years. š . Btw, your baby boy is adorable!!! God bless you and your family.
Kiss
Two years later – the magnetic locks couldāve been placed on the sides of the cabinets …..wonder why this wasnāt included in the instructions???????
But I don’t understand is a month ago he said the $600 was a down payment but yet there wasn’t a provision in the last bill for the extra 1400 to reach 2000 that was just their way of screwing us and giving us money after 10 freaking months
Such a pretty top. Looks great on you
My toddler learned how to open both.. the broke the clips .. then I bought the other ones that look like a belt . And he knows how to open those .. anything else I can use ? He is 18 mnts š©
Susan, I saw this thing for the wires on the camera or even for the ones in the boxes like for the Alexa and theyāre so much better than the ācord concealerā. I think Jessica Brauns husband used them. Basically you cut a little hole in the wall, and fish the wire thru, then cover it with a blank outlet Cover, and feed it out the bottom. I can email it to you, bc Iām not explaining it well.
Does the foam buffer you put on your coffee table leave a sticky residue when you remove it? Same question about the kitchen cabinet things.
I wish you wouldāve shown more of the products.
Lol why would you bother doing this video and not post a product list in description or at least say the name of the product
Gonna be a New Dad in August. Glad there are experienced parents posting stuff like this
Who else is annoyed by the off center leather straps of the cabinets in the background š?
Thanks!
Very helpful video! Do the safety locks you have for your cabinets damage the cabinets at all when you peel them off?
Who can afford a house like that nowadays…
I’m a simple man, I see a pretty girl in the thumbnail, I click.
Where did you find the 2 screw box cover?
I donāt have a baby, but I have a nephew. Iām stuck watching him from now on my sister lost custody. He goes to my computer desk and spills cans of ravioli sauce or juice whenever Iām not around. He broke my keyboard and cheap microphone headset last time. Every minute he tries to get a reaction out of me by smacking my computer tower and looking at me to see what Iāll do. How can I proof my desktop and electronics so that he canāt reach it, but I can still access it easy? Iām losing sleep over this. I sleep in front of my computer and wake up every 5 minutes to catch him slapping my Desktop. Heās attracted to the led lights the parts came with. Iāve Invested over $3,100 on this custom build. When I tell people to keep him away they tell me to put it upā¦ itās a desktop not a laptop I canāt just keep constantly putting it up after using it. If he manages to break my computer no one will replace it because of the price and that is what bothers me the most.
What about snatching lexa down on his head?!
Also I used tape to cover the wires so he canāt get at them it mightnāt look that pretty but it works š
Iām not a mom, but I used to teach elementary school and I taught kids as young as 2 to rock climb at a climbing gym I used to manage. So, my first thought is, if I see a really young kid doing something I donāt want them to do, something dangerous for them, I say in a low-tone teacher-voice, ā(insert-name-here), No.ā and immediately redirect their attention to an acceptable behavior. So, why wonāt this work for a baby under 1 or under 2? They definitely understand their name before theyāre 1, and they definitely understand a difference in voice tonality and what that means, so, if I see them grab for a wire or plug, why not just say no in my teacher-voice and redirect? Of course, still baby proof the house just so itās safe for those tines youāre not 100% focused on the baby, but wouldnāt you also try a baby-version of discipline? Iām genuinely asking. Iām not a mom, but I hope to be some day, and I really want to know. I noticed one mom say that baby proofing helps create a āyesā environment for kids. I totally agree that repetitious ānoās are draining for the parent, and the word looses its meaning when itās repeated over and over again without follow-through or consequence. Thatās why, if the hypothetical baby in my scenario were to revisit the plug after my first, MAYBE second āno,ā I would go totally silent, discontinue eye contact, and physically turn their bodies away from the plug and move them several steps from it. Iām sure this would result in crying or some kind of protest and/or they might interpret the movement as a game, but, like sleep training, and time out, if you stick to your guns, wonāt it pay off in the long run?
I would really love to know how the cable issue was solved, did you use the clear tape or the white covers?
Also I’m here because I’m considering placing one of the clear boxes (LectraLock) to avoid getting the cables disconnected at my Grandma’s house by ADULTS! They just don’t listen and disconnect two cords that make the phone works and that makes me so frustrated because she is almost 95 years old and she can’t be without a phone. I REALLY HOPE THIS WORKS! Thanks for your video.
