  1. Is the car seat cover breathable? Don’t want to make it hot/hard to breathe in the car seat for my baby. Thank you. Very helpful video for a first time mom!

  2. Mamas there are so many carriers available. You do not need a million!!! Get one that does it all. Front/back and hip !!! Yes get a hello baby monitor with NO WIFI NO APPS!!! Def need a sound machine!! I got all of these my babes is 1 month old

  3. snuggler and baby pacifier are actualy dangerous and not recomended at all. monitors are not accurate and can alart for no reason, make the alredy exhast parent even more nervouse or make us count on them way more then we should. humidifiers are not recommended , they tend to get moldy and they grow lots of bacteria and most of the people do not know how to clean them properly or that they need to be cleaned. car seat that covers the baby? if you are so worried about the germs, imagine how many theres on your car seat, this is one of the dirties places inside the car!!!! and then with the same covers you cover your baby? this is nuts!!! and if you live in a hot climate you will be suffocation your baby and come on, who the hell is even going to touch your baby when you go outside? people dont just run around and try to pick strangers babies or touch them.

rest of the products, you dont need most of them, they are just quality of life or just products that are not different from any other things that we alredy own at home. for an example you dont need to have that "special" red and black book ( they are way too expensive!!! ), you can totaly DYI it and draw/print your own cards, theres examples online for those. sound machine? not all the babies love those and u can actualy just use an app on your phone or buy a mobile to your newborns bed that has an options to play music/white noise

  4. Can you be more inclusive towards dads who’d like to be included the child-raising process? Sometimes I feel like where ever I go I’m being told that I don’t belong around children

  5. Brilliant video but PLEASE make sure you discuss that the dock a tot and snuggle me are not sleep safe. Babies much be supervised whilst sleeping in them at all times!

  6. I mean we are talking essentials, and right off the bat I need three carriers? I doubt that I need that many, I also have a small home, so space wise it its not really practical.

  7. Wish I’d made my registry on Amazon then linked it to babylist. Besides benefits you mentioned you also get a much longer return window that way.

  8. Thank you!
As a mother myself, I don’t think all of these are "must-have", we did just fine without many of them. But I do have to appreciate how practical your tips are and… why in the world didn’t I think of the vacuum bags myself? 😀 We were getting them for something else but not for the baby clothes that take up so much space… seriously. 😀 Thank you!
Also, I love that you think of the environment. The moment you mentioned *reusable* breast pads, I was clapping my hands loudly. And they are so much more comfortable too!
Btw, sadly, lanolin is super expensive in my country. I wonder how the market works that it’s so cheap in the US… slightly envious of you. We have some good products for the things you mentioned, but of course it requires us to have a special tube for breasts and one for baby butt and another one for eczema… I too wish I could just have one thing for everything.

Thank you for the great tips! Now I’m gonna sit down and make a list. :))

  9. I loved having a mirror to see baby in the back seat until my husband bought me a camera from Amazon that comes with a little screen to sit on my dash so I can just glance at it every now and then.

  10. Ahhhhh!!!! No stuffed anything when new babies are sleeping, literally the number 1 thing that should not be done….

  11. "HI mommas"? What about the dads?? I guess I’ll take my tig and Berries else where and watch a more inclusive video

  12. Thanks for the helpful information! Just want to make a suggestion. Lanolin never worked for me, I found that breast shells worked immediately every time. I also felt so much more comfortable that my baby wasn’t eating lanolin, as safe as it is.

  13. Ive already been sent baby clothes not from my registry and they are not season appropriate. Having my first baby in January in Illinois and a sleeveless and legless onesie as cute as it is, has to be returned. I would rather people stick to my registry clothes for baby to ensure its seasonally appropriate.

  14. Some of the stuff recommended in the vid are necessary or nice to have but you can find cheaper options so I’m a bit disappointed that it was not mentioned. Instead, we got the list of the most expensive items, some of which are not even recommended by doctors themselves (i.e. dockatot).

  15. I always use cloth diapers for burp cloths lol. My mom and sister gave me a huge stack of the carters type and i literally use them as kitchen rags instead because they dont work as spit up rags they dont absorb anything. The cloth diapers are good changing liners too since newborns and sometimes older babies will go while being changed so its easier to just toss it in the wash than clean up the whole mess some other way. And they make really good diapers if you buy a good brand too.

  16. Besides a lounger like the snuggle me, do you use any rockers like the Baby Bjorn? If so what is your favorite/safest brand

  17. that love to dream swaddle and snuggle me organic are life. I used the snuggle me organic all the way up to almost 6 months for my first and she absolutely loved it. and the love to dream swaddle is amazing used that up until she was about a year the transition and size range is great

  18. If i use the hakka to collect the milk when can i introduce it to my baby?? I’m a stay at home mom and don’t know what iis better to just breastfeed exclusively or try to introduce the pumped milk in a bottle.
or will that make the baby lose interest in the breast?
    Please help!

  19. Good video! But dock a tots are not safe for sleeping… I feel like there are better places to set baby that is safe that is not an item that is connected to increased risk of SIDS

  20. 28 weeks pregnant and I actually had every single one of these things on my registry already or have already purchased – so thankful that you confirmed these items instead of people who told me some of the things were "extra" or "not needed". I feel so much better about my purchases and can’t wait to use them!

  21. Wow the weird negativity in the comments is super strange. Love these suggestions! This is my first pregnancy and makes things less overwhelming!

  22. It’s not recommended by Dockatot or Snuggle Me for a baby to sleep in the lounger. It poses a suffocation risk….but all newborns do is sleep, so I don’t understand the point of them…

  23. Good to know about lanolin! (I bought 3 tubes of it when I was in pain from cracked nipples but after 2 weeks, no longer needed it for my nipples lol). I’m a first time mama with a 6 week old now, and have found your videos to be so so helpful during pregnancy & postpartum.

  24. I currently have 110 items on my registry and I’m stressing out thinking it WAY to much, but my breastfeeding stuff & everything is on the registry. 🥴😅

  25. Do you have changes to this list? I thought i heard on a more recent video there was a different pacifier you recommend.
