  1. My budget for my twins for the 1st year was 1500 -1800 I had most of the things on the list our biggest cost was cribs at 300 each and they came with mattress and it grow with them

  2. Really useful video! Expecting my 1st in July and this has helped so so much!

As a soon to be 1st time Dad its so refreshing to see content that aimed a bit more at Dads! Was feeling a bit overwhelmed and useless 😀

    Thanks!

  3. My stroller alone was $1,800 and car seat was $600. I don’t think this is the video for me 😂 but my husband might love it

  4. There are a lot of items you don’t have to buy honestly to push the budget down. I never used a rocking chair for both of my kids, so mostly personal preference for what you are buying. You can use a cot from the beginning instead of a bassinet.

  5. Mam bottles are reasonably priced and have a built in steam sterilizing in the microwave in the design! Just thought that was a cool feature to save money and not have to boil parts

  6. I wish you would spend a bit more time researching cloth diapers as a modern option instead of disregarding it entirely because there is not many voices out there directed at dads, and in cloth diaper circles there is a lot of "I want to do cloth diapers but my husband is on the fence/ is grossed out" etc. It is usually the women concerned about environmental impact, while men are usually convinced by the financial aspects of it. We’re raising children whose children will die of old age before their disposable diapers decompose…

  7. The uppababy vista alone Canadian is 1500$ . First kid we did not spend too too much but for second kid we splurged cuz our “cheap” choices we regretted. We got the maxi cosi Zelia max travel system… it was fine. But we got the vista v2…. Man…. If we had thought there could be that massive a difference… we would have just splurged from the get go.

  8. Our budget was $6000 for our first and $5000 for our second son, and I wished to buy so many things more for them. If we have our third, it will be for sure $8000+

  9. Would love to see a "best of the best" video that also does this. Like your top recommendations for every category, not really taking price into account.

  10. Enjoyed the video
For clothing, wouldn’t target have better deals? And cloud island clothes kinda feels better than some of Gerber quality, although carters is a classic too.

  11. i think your info and editorial style is very good you seem very trustworthy which is important when taking guidance on how to care for the most important thing in your world!

  12. Amazing video !!! Very well thought out. You can tell you are so passionate about your channel. My son is one and I’m still interested in watching this video for baby number 2

  13. Can you do a video with a big budget? Double or triple this. We decided to splurge on the big items (car seat, stroller) this time. Got a Nuna Revv for my car, Maxi Cosi Coral for my husband’s, and the Orbit stroller. I love all of them!

  14. 120 diapers for 2 month?!? Maybe I am just wasting them but my son goes through 100 diapers every 10 days…

  15. I was going to watch this video until I read that the word “breastfeed” was replaced with “chestfeed”.

  16. Yes I feel like for moms on a budget even if you want to breast feed keep your budget open for Formula I wasn’t able to breast feed my preemie baby even though I really wanted too also please be aware that some babies do have allergies and that formula cost can go up just because they need special formula and ALWAY ALWAY APPLY FOR WIC 🥰🥰

  17. Our little girl is due in September and you are by far our favorite "baby" youtuber. I use quotations because your style is much more akin to a tech youtuber and that’s why we love it so much, straight to the point and entertaining. Good job!

  18. Love this channel but disappointed you are saying "chestfeeding". Don’t let the "inclusive" police get to you. As a breastfeeding mother, to suggest that anyone else can breastfeed is offensive. Women give birth. Women breastfeed. Haters gonna hate.

  19. I wouldn’t say a bottle warmer was necessary. We just dunked the bottle in a half full jug of boiling water and swirled it around for 30 seconds. Our baby wasn’t fussed about warm milk so eventually we just took milk straight from the fridge. Better to save the money and invest in a formula prep machine (Tomme Tippee prep machine) when you use formula.

  20. Even if a person doesn’t have a "registry" (for others to use), many registries do offer a discount so it’s still worth making one just for yourself 😀 That’s what I did, hellooooo 15% off amazon coupon <3 And in addition to facebook marketplace, I also used craigslist and thrift/used stores (like Once Upon a Child). I saved the registry coupon for things I didn’t get to buy used, and I think right now I’m around 900$ total and that’s including breastfeeding stuff and maternity wear ^-^. More money saved for her education fund!

  21. Formula depends on your baby. Our 4 month old goes through a 1.02 kg container of formula in 6 days and the cheapest I have bought it is for $42.

  22. So a lot of hospitals get really annoyed with the convertible carseats because they can’t come out for a carseat test

  23. As somebody who has helped raise a few babies in a small house with little money, a good Bluetooth speaker or radio works as a sound machine. And if the baby is sleeping in a room with you put on music on the TV or on your phone

  24. Always ask your pediatrician for formula. I work in pediatrics, we get so many samples that we end up throwing it up because it expires or we just don’t have the space .

  25. When is your baby due? Our first baby is due July 31st. We are having a girl also. I’ve been watching your videos since we found out we were pregnant. Thanks 🙏

  26. I just bought a used doona midnight edition for 250 on offer up its in amazing condition the previous owner used it as a backup just for quick errands i plan on buying the uppababy vista as a main stroller before im due you can save money on things that baby will leave fast buying them second hand
